Emergency Management – Programs Coordinator

ADRA Australia is looking for an experienced and resilient Emergency Management Programs Coordinator to lead impactful programs, strengthen emergency responses, build donor partnerships, and live out our purpose of serving humanity with passion and purpose.
ABOUT USThe Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is the official humanitarian agency of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
As part of the global ADRA network which reaches into more than 120 countries, we are motivated by our faith, to enable people and communities in Australia, the South Pacific, Asia and Africa to improve their health and livelihoods and assist people to prepare for and recover from disasters around the world.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Lead and support humanitarian programs nationally and internationally through strong project management, quality assurance, and collaboration with partners.
Strengthen ADRA's emergency management capacity by coordinating and supporting emergency responses within Australia.
Contribute to business development by identifying funding opportunities, engaging donors, and supporting program design.
Live out ADRA's purpose as a servant-leader, bringing passion, teamwork, and commitment to transforming lives.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Commitment to the purpose of ADRA, and to the achievement of our overall strategy and priorities with demonstration of our ADRA values and desired team culture lived out in all aspects of work practice.
Willingness to work within a Christian ethos with conduct that is respectful of the beliefs and practices of the Seventh-day Adventist Church when in the workplace or otherwise representing ADRA Australia.
A passion for meeting humanitarian needs and building personal and community resilience.
Demonstrated ability to work productively within stressful environments.
A positive attitude complemented by high-level interpersonal skills, teamwork, and coaching ability.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively—both verbally and collaboratively—with stakeholders of diverse ages and backgrounds, fostering strong and consultative relationships.
Experience working in cross-cultural settings.
Undergraduate degree in management, business administration or related fields with 3 years+ experience within the Not-for-Profit and/or Development and/or Humanitarian sector with exposure to working with diverse partner organisations.
Ability to generate accurate and complete programmatic reports to stakeholder's requests.
Demonstrated management of financial resources to ensure accountability, payments and reporting processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Web-based platforms, Salesforce and other relevant software.
Advanced writing, research and data analysis skills.
Ability to travel within Australia, Pacific and other countries as the need arises.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA Project Management Professional and/or accounting certification.
Proven ability to contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures that are fit-for-purpose and compliant with overarching protocols.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
