Cornerstone Consulting Group (CCG) is proud to recruit on behalf of our client, a fast-growing finance specialist operating under the Australian Finance Group (AFG). We are seeking a driven and experienced **Credit Manager** to lead and develop a dedicated credit assessment team in Western Australia.

**About the Role**
This pivotal position is an opportunity to make an impact in a leadership role where you'll shape the future of a high-performing credit team, drive process improvements, and make a meaningful impact in investment property lending.
Enjoy variety by playing a dual role where you will:

- Oversee investment property lending (including multiple loans, equity releases, land and construction).
- Manage and train a team of 4-6 credit officers located both in West Perth and offshore.

You will have the autonomy to shape credit processes, ensure compliance with industry standards, mentor your team and provide regular performance updates to senior stakeholders. Your success will be measured by timely, unconditional approvals, team performance, and overall client satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**
- **Investment Property Lending**:
- Navigate valuations, builder drawdowns, and multiple-loan structures.
- Offer strategic recommendations on bank products and lending solutions.
- **Team Leadership**:
- Recruit, train, and mentor credit assessment officers.
- Conduct regular reviews and manage monthly KPIs and compliance.
- Provide daily updates to senior finance specialists and drive best-practice workflows.
- **Credit & Compliance Management**:
- Keep CRM systems updated and maintain accurate records for audits.
- Manage daily compliance requirements under AFG and other relevant regulations.
- **Stakeholder Communication**:
- Coordinate with valuers, lenders, and settlement teams.
- Resolve valuation challenges and escalate where necessary.
- Ensure exceptional service by communicating regularly with clients and internal teams.

In addition, you offer:

- **Proven Experience**: You bring solid expertise in investment property lending, particularly in handling land and construction finance.
- **People Management**: You have a successful track record of leading, mentoring, or training teams, ensuring consistent performance outcomes.
- **AFG Knowledge**: Exposure to the AFG network or similar aggregator environment is advantageous (though not essential) and will fast-track your success.
- **Compliance Mindset**: Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and a proven ability to maintain robust compliance standards.
- **Communication & Collaboration**: You excel at building relationships, guiding teams, and keeping stakeholders informed every step of the way.
