Australia West End Scott Street Kindergarten Full time

**Help Shape Futures at West End Scott Street Community Kindergarten.**

Located in the heart of West End for over 65 years, we are a not-for-profit kindy that is committed to offering a holistic and child-led program. We are a single unit centre catering for 2 groups of children with a maximum of 22 children in each group. Children attend a 5-day fortnight (8:30am - 2:45pm) during the QLD school terms.

**About the role**:
C&K West End Scott Street Community Kindergarten has a permanent part-time role available for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join the kindergarten as the Teacher/Director for Group B (Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesday). This role will see you being part of a Community Kindergarten which supports the local community's families and children. You will be working in a small, passionate, and dedicated team.

**Key Responsibilities**:
We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, passionate about community and has creative vision. You must be committed to continuous improvement; through a collaborative approach with colleagues, community, families and children.

Previous Director experience is desirable but not essential. You must be an approachable leader amongst the community of families, children and employees; with a hands-on approach in managing the service operationally.

As the teacher, you will have an ability to document and assess children's learning and development, as well as model and support the room educators to utilise a variety of teaching strategies including intentional teaching and reflective practice in daily work.

**Requirements**:

- An ACECQA approved Bachelor's Degree of Early Childhood Education.
- Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers prior to commencement.
- Willingness to undertake the role of nominated supervisor.
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guide.
- Current Paid or Exemption Blue Card
- Current CPR, First Aid, and Asthma/Anaphylaxis training.
- Experience in community-run kindergartens desirable.
- Experience with Storypark and Kidsoft highly regarded.

**Hours**:

- Commencing January 2026
- Thursday, Friday and every second Wednesday: 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Teaching)
- Every Second Wednesday 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Non-contact Director Hours)
