Looking to lead a team of educators and drive student learning and achievement in a collaborative school environment, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective teaching practices, collaborating with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and delivery, providing guidance and support to teachers to improve instructional skills, monitoring and evaluating student progress, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and maintaining relationships with local partners to enhance educational opportunities.

About This Role:

  • This is a part-time role with flexible arrangements considered.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  1. Leading a team of educators to develop and implement effective teaching practices, including planning, delivering, and assessing student learning.
  2. Collaborating with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and delivery, including the development of new curriculum initiatives and the implementation of existing ones.
  3. Providing guidance and support to teachers to improve their instructional skills, including coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  4. Maintaining accurate records of student progress and identifying areas for improvement, working closely with teachers and other stakeholders to address any issues that may arise.
  5. Developing and maintaining relationships with local partners to enhance educational opportunities for students, including partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and government agencies.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in education, preferably in a team management or departmental leadership role.
  • A strong understanding of curriculum design and delivery, including knowledge of curriculum frameworks, assessment strategies, and pedagogical approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with teachers, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development, with a willingness to stay up-to-date with best practice in education and to share this knowledge with others.
