In this full time or part time role based in Epworth Eastern (Box Hill), you will work alongside the Manager of Patient Services and the Leadership Team to ensure the Patient Services team provides a streamlined and efficient approach to elective and emergency admissions. This covers all aspect of the patient's journey prior to admission including theatre bookings, clerical pre-admissions, health fund eligibility checks and the admission of the patient.

The role will also involve responding promptly to enquiries and requests, handling patient accounts, as well as general administrative duties including data entry.

- Coaching and developing employees in the many aspects of Patient Services.
- Creating a positive team culture through new-starter orientation, recruitment activity, team leadership and roster management

- An ability to cope under pressure and make informed decisions according to hospital needs

**You will have**:

- Demonstrated success in team leadership
- Solid understanding of medical terminology
- Extensive Clerical experience in a service-oriented environment
- Experience with, or knowledge of health fund checks and requirements
- Strong computer literacy
- Experience in IPM/CRM or similar health systems software will be advantageous

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant qualification in relevant discipline e.g. Health Administration (Desirable)
