This is a pivotal role for a professional with strong commercial instincts and the ability to inspire teams to deliver smarter, more strategic outcomes.
You will play a key role in identifying and growing work opportunities with new and existing partners, building on long-term relationships, and continuing BMT\'s reputation as a partner of choice in the coastal, marine, and maritime sectors.
This role can be based in any of our Australian offices, with a preference for Brisbane or Perth due to team alignment.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive commercial success across our Coastal and Maritime Environment Programme by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.Cultivate trusted, long-term relationships with key clients to expand our influence and secure high-value work.Lead growth for in port development, marine infrastructure, and nature-based coastal resilience areas.Collaborate with technical leads and subject matter experts to develop compelling proposals and strategic partnerships.Contribute to BMT's broader leadership community, providing commercial insights and helping to shape strategy and market innovation.Inspire and guide teams to achieve high-impact outcomes across complex, multidisciplinary work, ensuring a strong focus on customer excellence.About YouA proven track record of winning work and influencing clients at a senior level, especially in complex or multi-stakeholder environments.10+ years of experience in coastal or maritime engineering, marine environmental consultancy, or related programme leadership roles—ideally within a technical consultancy or project environment.Strong commercial acumen, able to identify new opportunities and balance client needs with long-term value creation.Strong leadership experience, including the ability to build and develop a high performance culture across teams.Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.Why Work with Us?
