This position is varied role for health professionals to undertake various physical health programs provided by TELUS Health. In the context of health checks - health consultants are responsible for delivering high quality health assessments onsite for various clients. This will involve taking biometric measurements which may include blood sampling, and counselling of results. In the context of vaccinations - health consultants provide support to immunising nurses and the operations of vaccination clinics. Health consultants may also be engaged to provide a range of other services

if suitable, such as health expos, office administration, cooking demonstrations and seminars.

**Responsibilities**:

- Technical / Operational
- Deliver a range of health checks onsite in a variety of

workplaces/environments
- Liaise with site contacts on arrival and departure to set up and take

appointments
- Liaise with the Equipment Coordinator regarding equipment
- Report stock levels and/or problems to Equipment Coordinator/Program

Manager
- Complete health check data accurately
- Complete all paperwork for health check participants who require a medical

referral
- Complete all supporting documentation relating to health check service

delivery
- To provide support to immunisation nurses at vaccination clinics, including

administrative tasks, infection control and providing direction to participants
- Distribute and collect feedback forms (where requested)
- Return all relevant paperwork in an organised and timely manner (within 24

hours of end of service) via post, electronic communication or in-person
- Packing of kits according to instruction to prevent damage
- Manage accurate attendance records and inventory usage
- To provide office support if and when required and available
- To comply with all clinical directives of the Medical Director and any program

requirements and compliance outlined by the Department of Health for the

delivery of a service

Internal Systems and Processes
- Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures (including OH&S)
- Promote a safe workplace at all times
- Maintain currency of all certifications (First Aid, CPR) and Professional

Registration (as appropriate) and provide LifeWorks with current

documentation.
- To follow COVID-safe protocols and lead by example for participants in

services.

Customers
- A continued provision of professional first point of contact for clients and

external parties upholding LifeWorks core values

Financial
- Seek approval for expenses incurred, in line with department specific

authorisation levels

People Management and Development
- Responsible and accountable for own work and follow-up meetings with line

manager as required
- Undertake training and development as required
- To be courteous but direct and clear in messaging to participants in services

Conduct
- Ensure all activities carried out by self are in accordance with legislative

employment policies and safety requirements and corporate policy.
- Promote a standard of excellence for quality and customer focus at

LifeWorks
- Promote awareness of Health Management requirements throughout the

organisation.

Qualifications and Experience
- Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Science, Nutrition or equivalent health

related degree
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificates
- Organised and committed to delivering high quality health services
- Current Police Check

Desirable
- Experience in health coaching/counselling
- Relevant health promotion experience
- ESSA, Dietitians, Nurses Div 1 accreditation/registration (relevant to

discipline and if eligible)
- COVID Vaccination Training (can be completed after hire if not already

completed)

- Planning and preparing for multi-site delivery (2 or 3 in one day)
