**Your new company**

Global bank in Sydney is looking for a Compliance and Legal Officer offering Corporate and Institutional Banking services.

**Your new role**

Working in a small team, you will be responsible for:

- Review and update policies and procedures that support the compliance framework
- Drafts reports to the head office on a quarterly and semi-annual basis
- Prepare periodic reports for the Risk Committee and the senior management and assist in drafting reports for the regulators
- Provide training such as induction training for all new staff and ongoing compliance & legal training
- Maintenance and keep up to date the Compliance & Legal Registers
- Update the obligation register and facilitate the quarterly obligations attestation from heads of the departments
- Implement future regulatory changes and interpret new regulations
- Prepare and assist in lodging regulatory notifications, reports and submissions
- Conduct legal research and reviews on products, contracts, marketing materials and other documents
- Assist where necessary in the compliance monitoring activities on a monthly or quarterly basis

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Tertiary qualification in Law
- Some knowledge of the Australian financial services laws and regulations
- Ideally, a legal background
- Fluent in Mandarin
- Holding Australian Full work rights
