**About the role**:Westpac OpenAir has an exciting opportunity for experienced bar managers or supervisors to assist in the day-to-day operation of our bars and join our team at the world's most beautiful cinema.

You will be chiefly focused on the bar's operation, leading, training, and developing our team while assisting in the day-to-day running of the venue.

**About us**:
Cinerent OpenAir Pty Ltd has owned and produced OpenAir Cinema on Sydney Harbour since its inception in Sydney 28 years ago. The event attracts approximately 60,000 patrons each summer and has become a highlight of the Sydney arts calendar.

A key feature of the event is the food and beverage experience in the hours prior to screenings where patrons will typically arrive early to make the most of the location, atmosphere, and experience.

**Role**:

- Be a direct support to the Project Manager and Event Manager and work in line with our management team. Assist in leading and developing a strong well-established FOH and BOH team.
- Manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring that the level of customer service consistently meets our brand standards across bar/cocktail/service/presentation.
- Involvement in recruitment, training, and development, as well as on-the job performance management.
- Involvement in rostering and timesheet approval.
- Motivate and inspire our team each night.
- Liaising with customers.
- Setting up and dismantling the bars during the construction period.

**Required Skills and Attributes**:

- Have held a similar managerial position within a bar venue for a minimum of 1 year.
- Hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
- Knowledge of liquor licencing laws and venue compliance obligations, specifically RSA control.
- Hold a valid NSW White card (or willing to obtain)
- Experience in running an efficient, fast-paced bar.
- Ability to lead, manage, and motivate staff.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to think on your feet and multi-task. You should be self-motivated and utilise checklists and other communication methods to manage your own workload and give regular updates.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to delegate effectively.
- Enjoy working outdoors, sometimes in extreme weather conditions.
- Foreign passport holders must have a current visa and be eligible to work in Australia.
- Prepared and available to work 5 days a week, including nights and weekends, from early December 2024 until the end of February 2025.

**Desired but not required**:

- Experience with POS systems including Lightspeed and Chewzie

**Hours during event season**

Between Jan - Feb 2025

2.00pm-3:00pm to 11.00pm -12:00am - dependant on the film finish time.
