**Purpose of the role ;**

The position of Meter Data Officer is part of the clents - DTS Meter Data Provider Team providing metering data services to meet agreed market participant (eg. Energy Industry customers such as Endeavour Energy on a commercial basis Network Billing and National Market Settlement processes. The position will provide a back up support for the Data Translation Officer and Team Leader, as required.

**Required Experience**
- Possess analytical, innovative problem solving techniques in regards to data integrity & purification
- Data processing / data management skills.
- Detailed understanding of the clients Metering Systems and Interfaces.
- Sound knowledge of the franchise and contestable energy market.
- Sound knowledge of the industry (NEM) rules, concepts and regulations.
- Sound knowledge of the end to end meter to invoice chain, including business rules.
- Detailed experience and knowledge of the exception processes within DTS for all metering types.
- Understanding of the National Electricity Market rules and responsibilities.

**Key Responsibilities ;**
- Resolution of routine meter data configuration, metering reading, metering issues/exceptions with the opportunity to action more complex work/exceptions for development purposes.
- Commissioning of metering installations (including liaison with field technicians)
- Performing estimations and substitutions for all metering types.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of metering data.
- Resolution of standard customer enquiries/data enquiries; ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction by the timely and accurate reply to all requests.
- Adherence to the National Electricity Market (NEM) rules and regulations.
- Identification of opportunities for workplace improvement and advise Operational Manager / Team Leader.
- Identify and correct anomalies found in customer and metering data within DTS Metering databases.
- Identify system enhancements / process improvements in DTS Metering systems.
- Assist Ops Manager/Team Leader in methods of developing and mentoring DTS Officers of an equivalent level to increase required current and futures skills and abilities.
- Understand and implement any relevant new or existing changes to policy, procedure and functions through receipt of memorandums, relevant document and attend DTS Operational team briefs.
- Interpreting the transactions and events that led to the inability to submit metering data to Systems and Interfaces.
- Process and procedure decision making, using existing guidelines and confer directly Operational Manager / Team Leader DTS
