We are on the lookout for an experienced General Manager of Operations who understands and has a passion for Food Production to join us in our continued success and growth.

**What the role involves**:

- Overseeing operations for the entire food manufacturing plant
- Ensuring that there is clear communication across all departments
- Working closely with the CFO & Cost Accountant to manage finances and reduce production costs.
- Delegating responsibilities across departments to ensure high level of productivity
- Maintaining operations by implementing policies & standard operating procedures
- Auditing warehouse operations and implementing solutions to any problem areas
- Achieve maximum productivity and efficiency amongst the team
- Understanding procurement, production planning and inventory management
- Developing a wastage plan to reduce cost of produce purchased and scrapped
- Developing relationships with suppliers to obtain the best price on products
- Other ad-hoc duties required by management

**The successful applicant will have**:

- Hands-on with the production line operations - Supply chain management, procurement, Sales & Finance etc.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Restaurant/Food Production experience is a must
- Strong financial acumen, including understanding of P&L
- Demonstrate ability to drive cross-functional alignment and organise teams
- Self-driven and able to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and uncertain situations
- Strong ability to motivate and inspire staff members to make a change
- Willing to assist Unit Managers with any queries they may have.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Ability to think on your feet and offer solutions in a fast paced environment
- The ability to travel interstate if needed
