Experts in the home living category, we have been designing and developing bed linen and homewares for over 50 years.If you share our passion, we'd love to hear from you.Job no: 500043Work type: Full Time - SalariedStore/Office: PlanningCategories: Merchandise PlanningThe PositionWe currently have a new position for an Allocator to join our Merchandise Planning team based at our support office in Hawthorn, Melbourne.Working closely with our Planners and Visual Merchandisers, our allocators are critical in ensuring the effective distribution of inventory to deliver successful outcomes across our stores.
This role requires a fine balancing act to carefully allocate inventory to maximise return on investment within the controls of store layout, warehousing, and logistics.Main Responsibilities:Establish and maintain store stock accuratelyProfile stores to optimise allocations based on sales, size, gridding, and demographicsEstablish initial store allocations for new ranges ensuring that in-store dates are achieved and distributions are generated efficientlyReview and analyse weekly sales information to identify and address changes if requiredManage the stock distribution processProcess markdowns, promotions, and consolidations and communicate these to storesSupport the Merchandise Planning Team as requiredThe Perfect ProfileWe are looking for a candidate that has previous experience in retail, excellent numerical skills, an analytical mindset, and/or has recently graduated and is driven to build their career within Retail Merchandise Planning.To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:Proficiency in MS Office suite - Intermediate ExcelStrong numerical skills and an ability to work under pressureExcellent verbal and written skillsPrevious allocations experience (not essential)Why apply?
