Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Child Protection Service, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
Your primary responsibility will be to undertake the Child Safety Officer intake role for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander families. This will involve assessing risk and providing statutory support to ensure that children who are reasonably suspected of being in need of protection receive timely, safe, and supportive intervention.
You will work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander family support agencies to develop and implement culturally appropriate interventions that meet the unique needs of each child and family.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of cultural competence, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
