**Manager, Sustainability, Digital Operations and Analytics** leads a team of analytics professionals to develop data-driven solutions that optimize engineering operations and enhance performance, safety, and sustainability for the airline.
As part of the Regional Engineering Operations Control team, this position will have strategic input in setting the overarching strategy and leads the development and implementation of sustainability policies as they are developed. The role will also be key to ensuring QantasLink's contribution to the Qantas Group Climate Action Plan, and the business goals of reducing carbon emissions by 25% by 2030, zero single use plastics by 2027 and zero general waste to landfill by 2030.
Additionally, the manager oversees the engineering business's digital transformation, driving initiatives to enhance efficiency and performance through advanced strategies and technologies. The role is crucial in fostering a robust sustainability culture, promoting initiatives like Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Carbon Offsets, while managing costs effectively.
- 7+ years' experience
- Tertiary Qualifications (Economics/Commerce/Engineering/Aircraft Trade/LAME)
- Strong database analysis skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project skills.
- Strong leadership, negotiation and communications skills.
- Ability to create and maintain good and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to win and hold trust of Senior Management and peers.
- Ability to influence and motivate staff to deliver the required outcomes.
- Commitment to a collaborative approach to complex problem solving.
- Commitment and ability to drive change.
- Highly developed analytical skills
