Due to continued growth, we're offering a newly created leadership role suited to an experienced Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager with strong civil infrastructure experience - particularly in roadworks, surfacing, drainage, and rehabilitation projects.
As the
Civil and Road Rehabilitation Operations Manager
, you'll take the lead on managing and delivering multiple civil projects across metro and regional areas. You'll oversee teams, liaise with clients (including local councils), and ensure high-quality, on-time, and on-budget outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include
:
Planning, managing, and executing road rehabilitation and civil works projects
Leading and mentoring a team of engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
Managing budgets, project schedules, and contract compliance
Coordinating plant, resources, and procurement needs
Supporting multiple small- to medium-sized jobs concurrently
Building strong relationships with clients, particularly local councils
Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental compliance
Preparing project reports, cost reviews, and technical updates
To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need to demonstrate the following
:
Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Proven experience managing civil projects, particularly in roadworks, drainage, earthworks, pavements, and/or asphalt
Experience delivering projects on time and within budget
Experience working with or for local councils (highly desirable)
Familiarity with asphalt and concrete materials
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
Excellent communication - written and verbal
Strong leadership and mentoring ability
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capability
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Calm, professional approach under pressure
Strong commercial awareness and conflict resolution skills
Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Current Driver's Licence
