About the Role
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist managers to implement the company's EHS Policy and Management System, including conducting and visiting regional branches and sites throughout WA/SA/NT.
Promote incorporation of EHS into business planning and assist with establishing EHS as a business and management performance measure, including manager KPI's.
Ensure timely monthly reporting, including collation, conducting and communicating incident/ accident analysis to identify trends and recommend strategies to management that may assist in reducing incident/accident occurrence.
Assist in the investigation and management of any serious incidents or near misses involving employees, contractors or members of the public on Wormald premises or involving Wormald's products and/or services, for the purpose of identifying the root causes for the incident and the corrective actions required to prevent a recurrence.
Identify risk and non-compliance issues that may have a significant impact on the business and ensure that activities regularly focus on these areas.
Involvement in the development and implementation of regional and/or national EHS projects, processes and procedures to promote employee and contractor involvement in relation to workplace EHS.
Generate and communicate relevant EHS documentation, including toolbox talks/topics and Safety/ Environmental Alerts.
Maintain networks, internally with other EHS personnel, and externally with industry, statutory and professional bodies.
About You
Tertiary EHS-related qualifications and prior experience in the Environmental, Health & Safety sector is considered essential.
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment would be advantageous.
Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and organisational skills.
Good knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products.
Flexibility to travel intrastate and interstate, on an occasional basis.
