Job Overview

The Project Manager of Health, Safety and Environment will be responsible for implementing a culture of zero harm across the project.

This role requires an experienced professional with a background in large construction, civil or wharf projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a health, safety and environment framework through standards, systems and processes.
  • Present environmental strategies to senior management teams.
  • Deliver environmental results from project-wide audit programs and provide incident reviews and HSE performance reports.
  • Cultivate a leadership culture that prioritizes employee safety and well-being.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for managing health, safety and environment risks to senior management and staff.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Design and implement policies and procedures for managing health, safety and environment risks.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
  • Provide training and support to employees at all levels on health, safety and environment best practices.
  • Lead investigations into incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a QHSE Manager in construction or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety and environment regulations and risk assessment principles.
  • Able to influence and drive a safety culture across all levels of the organisation.
