The Resilient Homes Fund (RHF) is responsible for delivery of a $741 million budget in response to disaster events across 2021 and 2022. The Manager Program Management Office (PMO) of the RHF supports the Director to ensure the overarching program design, strategic policy, guidance and frameworks, data and reporting, compliance and technical advisory services are in place to support the delivery of the program.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership and advise on all program management activities. You will manage the coordination of PMO activities, and will ensure governance, finance, risk and assurance, complaint and appeals, quality and lessons management, program evaluation and corporate functions are effective and meet program benefits.
What you will be doing
- Manage and enable an agile, multidisciplinary team to achieve the vision of the RHF. Manage key functions under the PMO by planning, coordinating and managing responsibilities, including fostering a professional environment to encourage commitment, ethical behaviour, staff wellbeing, skills development, professional growth and continuous improvement. Manage high level RHF documents including the program blueprint, strategy and operational plans, as well as ensure governance, reporting, risk, assurance and audit requirements are met. Provide strategic advice and coordinate key initiatives and activities of the RHF using best practice program/project management methodology and tools. Manage the program budget including reporting, ensuring alignment to structure, managing contracts and mitigating financial risks. Research, coordinate and prepare complex reports, submissions, briefing notes and responses to correspondence on a range of project issues, ensuring quality outcomes. Support the implementation of a RHF lessons management and RHF evaluation activities. Provide a wide range of strategic, tactical and operational advice, analysis and support leadership to enable effective decision-making and risk minimisation through maintaining an intimate knowledge of current and emerging issues and priorities impacting on the program. Ensure materials for the Commonwealth, Cabinet, the Department, and Program Board are of high quality, reflect input from all areas of the program and anticipate emerging issues. Facilitate effective relationship and partnerships management with key stakeholders across State and Local Government and industry to deliver the RHF program.
What we are looking for
- Demonstrated strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, able to lead a diverse team that delivers effective program management within a dynamic landscape. Demonstrated capacity to manage complex programs and projects within competing priorities and timeframes. Exceptional verbal and written communication that results in the production of clear, concise and accurate advice targeted to internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in providing strategic and operational advice to develop and implement business systems and compliance activities including risk management, governance reporting, planning, finance and broader assurance processes.
Ability to research, develop and implement practices, policy and guidelines which meets government and departmental objectives.
