Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools The Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools (DLCS) provides a range of services to support approximately 3,500 staff in 45 vibrant and dynamic Catholic school communities that serve more than 18,000 students.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Finance Officers (Operational Accounting) These positions are based at our Lismore NSW office 2x full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract positions to cover periods of staff leave.

Position Purpose: These positions perform a range of operational accounting activities to support delivery of accurate and efficient accounting operations that ensure the integrity of the DLCSL's ledger, financial data and reporting.
One of these roles is to cover a period of parental leave, and the other is to cover other staff leave.
This role supports the underlying Mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Lismore by delivering services that contribute to enabling students to achieve the fullness of life.
Work Requirements: A current/valid Australian Driver's Licence.
A cleared National Police Check, or ability to obtain if the successful candidate.
Requirement to travel between locations (as required).
Qualifications: A relevant qualification, or equivalent experience in accounting, commerce, or financial management.
Work Experience: At least five years' experience in a relevant accounting role.
Key Capabilities: Attention to detail, accuracy and good record keeping skills.
Demonstrated experience in doing and/or reviewing balance sheets, assessing financial data and other accounting reconciliations.
Assisting with continuous improvement of processes and documentation.
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word and accounting software, preferably Technology One and/or Compass.
Ability to provide reports and financial process/policy advice to stakeholders in a school environment.
Demonstrated high level of organisational skills, including the capability to set priorities and work to deadlines.
Plus, the following generic criteria: Respect and upholding the ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of the Employer Knowledge of WHS and equity principles in the workplace.
