**Minimum qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in, or working with, the public sector.
- 15 years of experience in a technology sales role.
- 5 years of experience selling cloud computing solutions.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Understanding of how various cloud technologies work together to drive deeper technology adoption within the existing large account base.
- Deep understanding of government procurement policies and practices.
- Ability to work with high levels of ambiguity and complexity as the business evolves.

**About the job**:
As the Industry Lead of Government Accounts, you will help us with large, complex agreements with government agencies. In this regional role, you will be responsible for working with Country and Public Sector leadership to identify and qualify large, transformational opportunities with government customers. With the in-country account team, you will manage relationships with key customer decision-makers and influencers for comprehensive account coverage. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders (sales engineering, government affairs and policy, legal, marketing, partner) to ensure continual alignment of the priority opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand complex customer requirements on a business and technical level. Develop and provide custom presentations on Google Cloud products to customers to solve their business problems.
- Identify and qualify large, transformational opportunities where Google Cloud has a unique differentiation.
- Build and maintain relationships to influence long-term strategic direction. Act as a trusted advisor to customers.
- Orchestrate internal stakeholders and provide end-to-end opportunity management to successfully close agreements.
- Be able to program manage the development of proposals and responses to RFxs for selected opportunities.
