Our client, a community services organisation based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne, is looking for an experienced facilities / maintenance coordinator to join their down to earth and tight-knit team. In this role you will be given the flexibility to showcase your proactive and hands-on approach and demonstrate your sound knowledge of property compliance and facilities management.

**Duties include**:

- Proactively manage requests for maintenance/servicing for both commercial offices and residential properties
- Lead, guide, and coach the Maintenance Officer, including regular supervision and performance development
- Actively respond to maintenance issues reported via the facilities management system
- Organise timely callouts for ad-hoc/unplanned maintenance/service issues and follow up to ensure job completion
- Escalate service/maintenance requests to Senior Facilities Manager when required
- Issue access control cards for new employees and undertake regular system reporting
- Monitor the CCTV system to ensure all is in working order and retrieve footage as required
- Undertake specific tasks for minor capital projects
- Assess work processes and physical surroundings to identify and report on OH&S issues
- Update and maintain a comprehensive maintenance log, key register and storage management register
- Develop solid relationships with external service providers

**Required skills**:

- 3+ years' experience in facilities/asset maintenance and/or coordinator role
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of how to build and foster a high-performance team culture
- A thorough understanding of current trends, practices, policies, and legislation
- Demonstrated experience in managing contractors and contractor's compliance
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum 1-year experience in a Facilities / Maintenance / Project Coordinator role
- Current Drivers' Licence
