As Design Assistant you will work closely with your Designers across men's wear. You will be responsible for influencing and assisting to design product from concept through to production in line with brand DNA and emerging trends. You will provide exceptional admin and support to the Designers across all facets of the design process including but not limited to researching emerging trends, designing CADs, upkeep on style development files, assisting in fit sessions, and liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders
**About You**:
- Design degree preferred
- Previous experience within a design / product development role / product coordination role (preferred)
- Experience in Adobe Create Suite: Illustrator and Photoshop are essential
- Prior experience and working knowledge within branded, supply or retail design preferred
- Outstanding communication skills and demonstrated ability in working harmoniously as part of a team with strong interdependencies
- Have an excellent understanding of surf & streetwear markets
- Strong prioritisation and time management skills
- Eagerness to build personal and professional brand
- A keen collaborator, true team player and ability to take feedback on board
**About the role**:
- Support Designers with trend and market research, store visits and competitor analysis along with strategic projects and product collaborations
- Assist Designers in creating graphic print artwork and creating high quality and technical CADs
- Assist designers and garment technicians in fit sessions, executing garment fit and technical design comments and feedback
- Manage the development sample process and lead times, working with external vendors to prepare samples in line with critical path dates and key sign off meetings
- Create and maintain brand style codes, style name and colour data
- Communication and collaborate with team members and leaders
