- We are looking for a Remuneration and Benefits expert in Australia & New Zealand to join our Global Compensation Team. The Manager of Total Rewards - ANZ, will support regional compensation needs and partner with a global team to develop and maintain a Compensation Center of Excellence fostering consistency and efficiency across regions driving employee satisfaction and retention.

Locally in ANZ, Torrens Global Education comprises three distinct education providers: Think Education, Torrens University Australia and Media Design School in New Zealand. Torrens Global Education is itself owned by an American education services holding company called Strategic Education, Inc. (SEI). Strategic Education, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRA) is driven by an overall mission of improving college affordability, student engagement and workforce readiness. Within that context, the role will report into the Director of Global Compensation, based in the U.S., and will have a dotted line to our Vice President People and Talent ANZ, based in Sydney Surry Hills.

This role could be attached to any of our campuses - Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne or Brisbane. We offer flexible working arrangements with a hybrid office and home working model.

Day-to-day accountabilities:
The Manager Total Rewards is a stand-alone role that has been rescoped to fit the needs of the business as part of a global entity. The role involves managing various aspects of remuneration programs and total rewards initiatives including:
Remuneration Programs Implementation: Enhance regional remuneration frameworks, conduct job evaluations, surveys and audits, assessing their impact on organisation strategy-
- Total Rewards Expertise: Advise on total rewards initiatives globally and regionally, communicating them innovatively-
- Data Analytics: Use data analysis to influence decisions and offer solutions to complex challenges-
- Guidance and Support: provide the HR team and people leaders with guidance on remuneration initiatives-
- Policy Development and Training: develop and communicate internal pay policies and training material effectively-
- Market Intelligence: establish and maintain tools for market analysis to ensure competitive remunerations strategies-
- Compliance: ensure compliance with regional regulations through audits and staying updated on changes-
- Annual Remuneration Review: Improve the annual review process efficiently whilst managing within budget constraints.The position is full time permanent.

To be successful in this position, you will be a team player and have a track record of working effectively as a business partner. You'll thrive on tackling challenges and have confidence discussing remuneration approaches with internal stakeholders at all levels. You will be excited about the prospect of making this role your own and working independently, whilst building relationships locally in Australia/New Zealand and virtually within our mother company in the U.S. Due to the nature of the role and the time zone differences, flexibility to attend occasional early or late meetings is essential. In addition, you will come with:
- Extensive experience driving annual compensation processes in a global or multi-region environment-
- Preferably experience working as part of a Global Total Rewards team-
- Demonstrated experience in Australian/New Zealand remuneration design and communication-
- In-depth understanding of legislation related to remuneration and superannuation-
- Strong data literacy with ability to summarise and present insights and business cases-
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally Workday-
