**The Role**

Marcellin College, a leading Catholic boy's school, presents an opportunity for a Library Manager to join our team on an on-going, full-time basis commencing Term 1, 2025.

This is an opportunity to to work in a pivotal role with responsibility for all key areas of the College Resource Centre.

**Key Success Factors**

The College Resource Centre is a hub for collaboration and learning. Our newly redeveloped and renovated Centre (due to open in Term 1, 2025) will provide an integrated educational and cultural centre for our community. It will provide a variety of flexible learning zones to support class, small group, multi age and individual learning activities.

As a member of our Learning & Teaching Team, the Library Manager will work closely with the Deputy Principal - Learning & Teaching to ensure the smooth running of the College Resource Centre. This position is responsible for identifying, accessing, developing and maintaining the College's learning and library resources as well as supporting staff and students access to these resources. The incumbent is responsible for the day to day running of the library, as well as the leadership and management of resources as a whole with a significant focus on the creation and enhancement on e-resources and an iLibrary.

To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary library management experience as well as:

- A commitment to Catholic ethos and Marist spirituality
- Knowledge and understanding of library and information skills
- Knowledge and understanding of teaching and learning, educational issues and the Victorian Curriculum as they relate to the provision of learning resources
- Experience with a relevant Library Management System (LMS) and other ICT software
- Demonstrate an innovative and passionate approach to books and reading
- An ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team
- Highly developed organisational and problem solving skills
- Diploma of Library & Information Services (or equivalent) allowing for membership of ALIA, or a combination of a relevant degree and at least two years' work experience in another library role with technical responsibilities
- Current WWCC and Police Check
