**About us**
The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
**About the role**
Reporting to the Senior Adviser, Regulatory Strategy, the Regulatory Strategy officers are responsible for preparing and collating data and producing quantitative and qualitative reports for the Regulatory Strategy team and wider Compliance and Enforcement Division. The role contributes to monitoring the implementation of CAV's regulatory priorities and accurate capture of operational performance data. Stakeholder management, attention to detail, and analytical skills are critical to success of this role.

**Key accountabilities**
- Contributes to the ongoing data capture and reporting of key insights in to regard to CAV regulatory priorities and operational outcomes, including contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement practices.
- Support and contribute to collection, collation, and interpretation of data to identify emerging trends and regulatory risks and provide advice on potential remedial strategies to inform decision making.
- Provide administrative and project support to the Regulatory Strategy team to ensure the smooth development and delivery of our programs of work.
- Contribute to and provide information to inform the development of compliance strategy documents, including contributing to the evaluation of outcomes, and regular review of strategy effectiveness.
**About you**
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to produce operational based insights that inform compliance decision making and operational planning within CAV.
- Experience in providing support to projects and programs of work that are aligned with organisational goals whilst fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Contribution to positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote information sharing and support the continuous improvement of data related outcomes and operational reporting.
- Ability to produce high quality written outcomes, including reports and recommendations for key decision makers based on supporting information and evidence.
- Experience working collaboratively with peers to produce outcomes and provide peer review and quality assurance for data related outputs and reporting and contributing to high quality outcomes.
Other requirement
- A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable but not essential.
