**About Our Opportunity**

The Operational Compliance & Assurance Analyst will support the Head of Operational Compliance and Assurance to enable business leaders to understand and proactively manage risk and compliance.

As part of the 1st line operational compliance and assurance team in the Platform, the Operational Compliance & Assurance Analyst will play an active role in the embedding, oversight and management of the Group's compliance and non-financial risk frameworks within the platform. They will support delivery of the business strategy and operational resilience, provide compliance assurance and support operational resilience through stakeholder management, the review of processes, assessment of controls, investigation of incidents, responses to requests for information and delivery of training.

**What You Will Do**:

- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of operational risk and compliance procedures to ensure they meet best practice and regulatory and Wealth and Capital Management requirements
- Collaborate with business representatives and Line 2 Risk & Compliance to the identify, document and prioritise key processes, people, technology, vendors and data to support critical business services and map operational dependencies
- Take responsibility for the identification, design and development of key controls and critical processes
- Establish, maintain and support execution of a program of 1st line control self-assessments for the platform
- Design and perform control testing to provide first line assurance that controls are designed appropriately and are operating effectively
- Support business leaders with investigation and analysis of incidents
- Encourage and educate the business to proactive risk management and continuous improvement
- Assist in the design and development of processes, systems and ways of working to help the business respond to new and changing regulatory obligations
- Design and implement discrete learning events, processes and/or systems
- Support M&A and new business activity with responses to requests for information
- Undertake project assurance activities

**What we are looking for**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications with strong experience in a risk or compliance related role within an agilely complex environment
- Knowledge of the risk management and compliance frameworks
- Experience with control design and effectiveness testing
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks to tight deadlines and the flexibility to handle constantly changing priorities
- Ability to take initiative to make improvements
