You will be responsible for ensuring the culinary operation meets guests' needs, whilst focussing on growing revenues and maximising the financial performance of the operation through an engaged team of colleagues.Some of the responsibilities includeHands on management of the day-to-day Culinary operationsActively lead, coach and mentor all members of the team to ensure they are equipped to do their job while also developing them for the futureDemonstrate Hyatt's purpose of caring for people to be their best at all times while coaching heads of kitchens to embody the Hyatt valuesDevelop new menus in line with brand standards while also demonstrating a passion for trying new culinary trends and seasonal ingredientsEnsure that the kitchen operation is managed strictly in accordance with food safety and occupational health & safety standardsWork closely with the sales and front of house teams to ensure that customer satisfaction is always exceededMaximise revenue and manage all operational expenses in accordance with budgetsWe need your curiosity.

People like us.QualificationsWhat you will bring to the role:Recent experience in a similar role within the hotel industry is essential.Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)Proven success in leading and developing teamsKnowledge of the market, demonstrated flair and creativity with a focus on locally and ethically sourced productsStrong interpersonal skills used to build effective relationship with all stakeholdersAbility to drive the Culinary operation ensuring that key goals are achieved with regard to financials, guest and colleague metricsA career with Hyatt opens a world of opportunities.
