Early Childhood Educator Traineeship

**About us**:
Young Adventurers is a small family-owned service that operates according to the Montessori philosophy and methods of education. We focus on providing high-quality care and education to all children. Some of the guiding principles we aim for in our service are:

**We are looking for an educator who**:

- Has knowledge, experience or an interest in the Montessori philosophy and method of Education.
- Has the ability to respond to children and their developmental needs, in a caring, nurturing, and respectful way.
- Is observant and attentive to detail.
- Is reliable and passionate about their role as an educator
- Holds a high level of integrity, work ethic, professionalism, and commitment.
- Will develop and maintain strong relationships with the children, families, team, and community.
- Will ensure compliance of Regulations, Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Has the ability, or interest to learn and contribute to the documentation of children's learning.
- Demonstrates strong and positive communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Will contribute to the effective operation of the service by supporting colleagues, sharing ideas and information and working collaboratively in our team.
- Have a genuine interest in learning and following the National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

**Traineeships**:
Traineeships are an opportunity to work whilst studying your Certificate III or Diploma* in Early Childhood Education and Care. No experience is required, just a passion for learning and supporting the development and education of children aged 2.5 years - school age, following the Montessori philosophy and method. Upon successful completion of your traineeship, you will receive a Nationally Recognised Certificate III or Diploma.

*Diploma Trainees must already hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

**All applicants must hold or be willing to obtain**:

- First Aid Certificate HLTAID004 (including yearly refreshers of CPR HLTAID001 and emergency Asthma & Anaphylaxis management.
- Valid Working with Children Check (Bluecard)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Full-time
Part-time hours: 15-36 per week

**Salary**: $20.33 - $40.00 per hour
