Employment type: Full-time OngoingSalary: $105,040 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation Your role: We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Senior Trade Overseer Facilities Maintenance Electrician to work within the Facilities Maintenance Division Unit at the Long Bay Correctional Complex What you'll do: Join an organisation with a rich history where your trade experience is valued.
Senior Trade Overseers are trade qualified Correctional Officers with the essential role of using your trade skills to work with and supervise inmates and other staff to undertake programmed and reactive maintenance tasks essential to keep the correctional centre operational.
Provide leadership and mentoring to Overseers, and supervise and develop inmates through managing, coaching, instructing, and encouraging them, as members of a team, in order that they may improve their work skills, enhance their post-release employment prospects, and contribute productively to Business Unit objectives.
Please click to review the role description Qualifications Required: Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete Certificate III in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes
Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role.
Relevant trade qualifications: Minimum Cert III – Electrical
Must possess related Trade Qualification and hold current related NSW Fair Trading Electrical Contractor License or Qualified Supervisor Certificate.
(ACMA Open Cabling Registration or equivalent industry approved qualification is desirable)
Essential Requirements: Proven post trade experience
Hold relevant trade qualifications in facilities maintenance operations or building and construction industry.
Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the Senior Overseer role description.
Ability and willingness to work across trades as required in a flexible manner.
