Position Description
**Key Responsibilities**
The Team Member Arboriculture is responsible for performing a broad range of duties within a team and
autonomously in order to ensure the delivery of high quality, consistent, safe and continually improving
maintenance and construction services. This role will contribute towards the optimisation of the community
experience through taking pride in the presentation of, improving interaction with and respectfully enhancing
Council's natural and built assets in a manner that ensures the achievement of operational, environmental,
team, safety and reputational excellence.
**Operational**:
- Perform a broad range of maintenance and construction general labour duties and activities that
contribute to the smooth, efficient and safe day to day operation of Council's Works and Operations
services.
- Undertake duties in a manner that prioritises the protection and enhancement of both built and natural
assets in accordance with Council's strategic and environmental goals, service levels, relevant legislation,
policies and processes.
- Operate Council's plant and machinery in line with standard operating procedures, to assist the delivery
of high quality and safe services to our community.
- Ensure the availability and maintenance of all plant and equipment in accordance with the _Work, Health _
- and Safety Act SA (2012) _and Regulations.
- Under the guidance of the Team Leader and in line with relevant service levels, respond to and resolve
customer requests in accordance with Council's Customer Service Charter.
- Contribute to a culture of exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers through the
delivery of timely, effective and efficient works and operations services.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording and reporting of repairs, maintenance and relevant procedures in
compliance with Council requirements.
- Actively participate in a collaborative team environment that ensures the efficient and effective operation
of the Works and Operations team.
- Participate in a culture of continuous improvement with a commitment to knowledge sharing and
professional development.

- Undertake pruning, planting, establishment and maintenance of street, park and public trees in
accordance with best arboriculture practices, Council's service levels and processes to ensure safe and
professional presentation throughout the Council region.
