**About the role**:
The role of Business Development Manager is to promote technical products and solutions to the local original equipment manufacturers. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will sell across the Victorian territory, building on existing key client relationships and developing new business opportunities, largely with manufacturers and business owners, to strengthen the company's sales and growth. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of category products, including current and those in the pipeline, to facilitate constructive conversations with customers. You will work to find ways to add value to their customers whilst strengthening the company position within the market. You will also produce regular reporting, including accurate forecasting, as well as input to planning and sales strategy meetings and supporting the broader sales team. You will provide support at regular trade show events.
**Skills and experience required**:
Demonstrate a strong knowledge of selling technical products/solutions into industrial manufacturing environments.
- A solid understand of sales planning and forecasting
- Competencies in customer relationship management within manufacturing
- Presentation skills with Microsoft Office suite
- Provide regular reporting on sales activities and trends
- Ability to liaise with all levels of staff, both internal and external to the organisation
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as to participate in activities as a team member
- A desire to achieve excellent results
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Well presented
- Good time management skills
- Honest, ethical, and trustworthy

**Qualifications and experience required for the role**:
A strong track record in B2B sales and key account management, including success in selling technical products/solutions into industrial manufacturing environments.
- Preparedness to travel as required.
- Possess a current Drivers Licence.
- Have experience in trade/consumer shows and their operations.
- Possess a technical aptitude for understanding industrial products/solutions.
- Trade qualification or trade background would be valued, but not essential.
