Newcastle Waldorf School is seeking a Outdoor Education and Classroom Assistant (male for ratios) to support our camp programs and classes. The successful applicant will join camps as required throughout the year, support the camp coordinator to organise programs and support teachers in various classrooms to develop relationships with the students.

Required
- Availability to attend all camps as required
- NSW Working with Children Check
- Cert 3 or 4 in Outdoor Recreation (or equivalent/working towards) - please outline specialties
- LR or MR licence and ability to tow a trailer
- Current Wilderness or Remote Area First Aid and CPR
- Current Bronze Medallion
- An Australian Citizen, permanent resident or have rights to work in Australia
- Strong work health and safety and risk management understanding/practices
- Physically fit

Desirable
- Understanding of/interest in Steiner Pedagogy
- Working towards/interest in completing a teacher education degree or working towards or hold Cert 3 or 4 in Education Support
- Mental Health First Aid
- Interest in taking over from our current camp coordinator/outdoor education teacher in the long term future
- IT insight and ability with apple, windows, linux and office suite functionalities
