Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Officer to support the delivery of outdoor education programs.

This role involves preparing, designing and maintaining equipment, technology and resources to enhance student learning. The successful candidate will have experience in Outdoor Education/Leadership/Recreation and be able to create or adapt resources to meet requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, be able to work as a team member with minimal supervision and demonstrate technical knowledge and experience in the use, care and maintenance of tools, equipment, materials and techniques in Outdoor Education/Leadership/Recreation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, design and maintain equipment, technology and resources to support outdoor education programs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and participation.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment, resources and student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality outdoor education programs.

Requirements:

  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience in Outdoor Education/Leadership/Recreation and technical knowledge of equipment, tools and resources.
