Casual Outdoor Educator Position

We are seeking a passionate and flexible Casual Outdoor Educator to join our educational community. The ideal candidate will have experience in outdoor education, be able to lead activities such as hiking, bike riding, and water sports, and have a strong understanding of Steiner pedagogy.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to work with students who benefit from quality outdoor experiences. As a Casual Outdoor Educator, you will play a key role in ensuring our students receive continuity in our outdoor learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and lead outdoor programs supporting current teaching staff.
  • Lead activities such as hiking, bike riding, canoeing, sailing, swimming, nature connection, journaling, and initiative games.
  • Collaborate with a supportive teaching team to uphold our values and program style.
  • Be flexible, adaptable, and proactive in managing various learning environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:

  • Queensland College of Teachers registration or current Blue Card.
  • Wilderness or Remote Area First Aid.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation or University degree in Outdoor Education.
