Northern Hemisphere Manager

Yulong Stud is seeking a suitably experienced person to manage our Australian based Northern Hemisphere breeding operation.
Reporting to the Stud Manager and based on-farm in Nagambie, your duties and areas of responsibility would include but not be limited to;
- Overseeing all horses that fall into the Northern Hemisphere breeding season, including foaling and neo-nates, reproduction and breeding, weanling/yearling management and general day-to-day processes
- Managing a team of employees dedicated to the Northern Hemisphere operation and training of new employees
- Maintaining all horses in excellent condition year-round
- Managing and planning for farrier, dentist, vet work and all other contractors
- Ensuring day to day operations run smoothly and efficiently
- Ensuring paddocks, fencing and facilities are maintained to a high standard
- Promote and ensure the safety of employees, contractors and horses
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Accurate record keeping and liaising with management
- Assisting in other areas of the farm as required.
This position is an integral part of the business, and it is expected that you will be a positive and professional reflection of the Yulong brand.
You will be well presented, a clear communicator and have a desire to achieve great results. Previous experience managing/working a busy breeding operation is essential.
This is a full-time position ideally suited to someone who is looking for a long-term commitment to a growing brand. A generous remuneration package is available for the successful applicant.
