**The Role**:
**What's the role?**

We are looking for a Carbon Strategy Lead to drive the delivery of our carbon strategy across the East Coast Performance Unit, working to devise and implement decarbonisation strategies for the East Australia Integrated Gas assets.

This role provides a unique opportunity to make significant impact on Shell Australia's future in the East, while making a mark in the energy industry by leading the evolution of the business strategy and driving delivery of our carbon strategy.

This pivotal role will report directly to the GM Commercial, and will be focused on unlocking integrated value from all Shell East Coast assets to ensure we are truly on our way to our carbon reduction goals, whilst maintaining our license to operate in the domestic market, and ensuring strategic alignment across the Assets and Shell Australia.

**What we need from you**
- A strong commercial background and experience managing and negotiating complex deals
- An understanding and acumen of national and global trends in environmental policy and regulation especially with respect to carbon
- Deep understanding of various carbon management framework and domestic market in Australia, to identify risks, opportunities, and threats to managing our East Coast Performance Unit
- A commitment to authentic, honest, open, and transparent communication
- Deal Origination and Group strategy experience is highly desirable
- Strong evidence and experience in a variety of gas/product value chains
- Ability to work collaboratively in geographically diverse and multi-cultural environments
- Ability to effectively influence across the organisation and challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate with internal peers and JVs
- Deep commitment to Goal Zero and personal accountability
