The Opportunity
We're looking for Purchasing Officers to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you'll manage end-to-end procurement — sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure our production teams have the right materials, on time, at the right quality and price.
Key Responsibilities
Procure raw materials, components, fittings, appliances, and finished goods in line with production schedules Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to meet commercial objectives Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Finance teams to ensure supplier performance meets technical and operational requirements Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing, and relevant regulations Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions Maintain accurate purchasing data in the ERP system and report on supplier performance, lead times, and cost-saving initiatives
What We're Looking For
Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field 3+ years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, ideally in manufacturing Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement best practices Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, preferably Acumatica and Smartsheet Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills Understanding of manufacturing processes and raw material requirements Experience with both local and international suppliers Detail-oriented, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
