Stellar Recruitment are currently seeking a purchasing officer to provide comprehensive procurement services for our client located in Brisbane CBD. Our client is a government owned freight organisation with a large portfolio of projects running across QLD, NSW and Victoria.

**What You Will Be Doing**:

- Act as the frontline spokesperson for the Procurement team, providing timely advice and training to stakeholders on procurement processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Analyse stakeholder requirements, solve problems to ensure appropriate procurement processes
- Oversee and manage workflow approvals from start to finish. Raise and issue Purchase Order requisitions for goods and services, maintain Purchase Orders, and support vendor setup.
- Manage the end-to-end RFQ process for lower-risk and value purchases, prepare documents, obtain and evaluate quotes, negotiate with suppliers, award contracts, and handover to Contract Managers and Administrators.
- Support for Request for Tenders
- Assist in the preparation, release, and negotiation of complex and high-value RFTs, RFPs, and multistage procurements
- Document procurement processes and help identify, propose, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

**Experience Required**:

- Relevant qualifications in procurement, business, commerce, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of procurement, contract management, or legal experience in a commercial setting.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the business and operating in a cross-functional team environment. Strong contract and legal drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to change, manage competing priorities, and work under pressure.
