**Your new role**

In your new team, you will have the opportunity to provide a high level of administrative support with high level preparation and coordination with high motivation. This work will involve advising the Australian Government on the industry, administration matters and developing legislation. You will be able to support a team culture of continuous improvement in line with business objectives.

Your primary responsibilities are:

- Assist in the preparation and coordination of response to correspondence from the Minister to community members and businesses consistent with departmental templates and guidance.
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of responses to contact enquiries by the department on matters.
- Provide support to staff as they undertake their work, including participating in and contributing to progressing various administrative tasks.
- Escalate complex queries or issues to the team leader and section head as required.

**What you'll need to succeed**

Your previous experience in a similar role within the Australian Public Service will lead to your success. You will have a strong track record with experience in administration support and strong attention to detail.

Security requirements: You must be an Australian citizen and possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a Baseline Personnel Security Clearance.
