APS4 Finance Officer opportunity in Federal Government on a 12-month hourly contract

This Federal Government department is looking to engage with a APS4 Finance officer

**Your new role**

The APS4 Finance Officer is accountable under general direction to undertake moderately complex finance related activities and tasks within established procedures and guidance.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Facilitating transaction processing in the systems to ensure financial data is accurate and complete.
- Extracting and analysing data from SAP and other financial systems to resolve enquiries.
- Preparing accurate and timely management reports as required.
- Providing input into the development of Standard Operating Procedures for the team, including process mapping requirements.
- Working with key stakeholders to support various project initiatives.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience in a Finance function, ideally in Government or in a large organisation
- Demonstrated experience measuring and reporting on compliance with approved policies/procedures
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyse and present data
- Proficient use of Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a small team
- Experience in SAP (desirable)
- Satisfactory National Criminal History Records Check
- Australian citizenship
