**Position Information**:
Bowral Public School in the Southern Highlands was established in 1867 and has a current enrolment of 450 students. The school recognises that students demonstrate advanced levels of academic potential and positive learning outcomes. There is a high rate of student participation in extra-curricular opportunities and programs such as public speaking, performing arts, science and engineering, and a wide range of sports. Students regularly represent at state level competitions and performances. The student leadership program within the school places a strong emphasis on student voice and the nurturing of leadership potential from students in Year 2 to Year 6. The school takes a positive approach to equipping children with the social and emotional skills they will need to be empowered and resilient citizens and leaders in the future. Distributive leadership and collaborative practices aim to empower staff to enhance and harness every child's learning capability through individualised learning and support programs and extension opportunities for high potential and gifted students. - Proven ability to lead a culture of ongoing professional growth underpinned by research-informed pedagogy, targeted professional learning, and high expectations for student achievement in meeting school and system priorities.
- Outstanding educational leadership skills in the implementation of effective wellbeing and curriculum programs that improve engagement, outcomes, and performance measures for all, including high potential and gifted students and students with individualised learning needs.
- Proven ability to inspire individuals and teams to work collaboratively on initiatives and activities to aid the successful implementation of the Strategic Improvement Plan.

1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
