**About the Role**

Working as part of a newly formed executive team the Council are now seeking a General Manager, Corporate Services to lead the organisational development, information technology, procurement, governance and customer and communication operations of the organisation.

Reporting through to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager, Corporate Services will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of corporate frameworks and services that lead to the continuous services improvement, financial sustainability, and enhance the overall value provided to the community, while maintaining all relevant legislative and governance requirements of council.

The General Manager, Corporate Services manages a variety of key internal and external relationships, works closely with elected members and is a key member of the executive leadership team. The role key reports include; Manager Customer and Communications, Manager Governance and Continuous improvement, Manager IT Solutions, Manager Organisational Development and Manager Contracts and Procurement.

**About you**

To be successful in obtaining this significant and strategic appointment, you will be exceptionally knowledgeable and influential within corporate services with strong understanding across, People and Culture, Governance, ICT, Procurement, and communications. The individual will require extensive leadership experience and demonstrate success working within a transformational and continuously evolving environment whilst understanding governance, the detail and a tactical environment.

Having successfully operated at a senior manager level, you will have strong demonstrated examples of your ability to engage and influence at the executive and Board level and be adept in successfully navigating political environments.

You will demonstrate a strong history of leading leaders, with a collaborative approach to driving high performing teams. You will have significant experience in strategic planning, business planning, performance reporting and executing broader corporate and organisation wide objectives. The ability to engage and influence elective members and attend council meetings out of core business hours is essential. A qualification in business or HR Management or another related discipline and significant working knowledge in a comparable environment.
