About the position:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Corporate Services Manager to lead KWY's corporate functions across policy development and implementation, compliance/accreditation, work health and safety (WHS), human resources administration and strategy, and organisational administration.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, this role is pivotal in ensuring that KWY's internal systems, governance frameworks, and strategic positioning are underpinned by strong, contemporary, and fit-for-purpose policies, compliance assurance, and continuous improvement
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing review of organisational policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and adherence to compliance obligations under direction from the Executive Management.
- Oversee and ensure exemplary performance in accreditation processes (for example ASES), workplace health & safety frameworks, and organisational compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and funding body requirements via monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain a structured policy lifecycle (including stakeholder consultation, document control, communication planning, adaptation to legislation/sector changes, and capacity-building via training/coaching/resources), while also driving a recruitment and retention strategy aimed at attracting and keeping high-quality staff.
- Oversee HR administration processes, including onboarding, induction, contracts, and records management.
- Develop and maintain a workforce development framework including training, learning management, and staff capability building.
- Drive HR systems and process improvements to support efficiency and compliance.
- Support performance and professional development processes in collaboration with external HR providers and managers.
- Monitor workforce data and provide reporting to inform strategic workforce planning.
- Ensure the organisation fully complies with all applicable WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership in identifying, managing, and reporting WHS risks.
- Actively support and participate in the WHS Committee to promote safety governance.
- Oversee the Administration Team (via the Administration Team Leader) in all core functions, including reception, office administration, fleet & building maintenance, training & event coordination, travel coordination and logistics, and HR/WHS administration.
- Standardise administrative processes and ensure consistency, efficiency and compliance, including record management, document control, and knowledge management.
- Provide leadership and supervision by delegating workloads, monitoring workflow, supervising the Administration Team Leader, conducting performance reviews, and identifying training and professional development needs.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture consistent with KWY's values and trauma-informed practice.
- Contribute to corporate governance, risk management, and business resilience planning to support organisational stability and compliance.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in human resources, business management, project management, public policy, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in corporate services functions, including policy, HR administration, compliance, or WHS, preferably in the community services, health, or government sector.
- Proven leadership and staff supervision experience, with capacity to coach, mentor, and build team capability.
- Demonstrated understanding of accreditation and compliance standards relevant to social services (e.g., ASES, mental health, child protection).
- Strong understanding of HR administration processes (contracts, onboarding, recruitment systems, workforce planning).
- High-level written communication skills, with experience preparing policies, reports, and submissions.
- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed practice, particularly in the context of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, engage, and communicate across all levels of an organisation.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use HR and compliance systems effectively.

- Competitive salary: This position will be initially at a Level 7.1 SCHADS Award, with a pay rate of $119,093.52 pa. plus, Super.

Job requirements:
- You must hold a current South Australian Driver's License or a license which permits you to drive in South Australia.
