We consistently deliver value to clients throughout all mining stages, leveraging expertise and equipment for comprehensive surface operation services.About the Role:We are seeking a Business Systems Manager to join our corporate head office in South Bank, managing our business systems including the SAP based enterprise resource planning ecosystem, health and safety systems, and other business applications.
You will ensure these systems meet the needs of the organization, are efficient and effective and provide accurate and timely data for decision making purposes.The role would suit someone with strong SAP experience and a proven track record of leading complex application projects, managing vendor delivery teams and driving improvements in information systems.Key responsibilities include:Plan, lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Business Systems teamCoordinate and project manage external vendors performing technical workLead and own the IT Business Systems strategy, planning and performance to deliver business outcomesDevelop and implement the Business Systems roadmapWork with stakeholders across the organization to identify business system requirements and ensure that the systems meet those needsIdentify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization and implement changes as neededDevelop and implement policies and procedures for the use of business systems to ensure their security, reliability and effectivenessCollaborate with IT staff and vendors to maintain and upgrade business systems, including system updates and patches, hardware and software upgrades and integrations with other systemsOversee overall support processes (service request capture and prioritization, issue resolution, root cause analysis)Participate in the Change Advisory Board for application-related changesParticipate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and manage disaster recovery testingContribute to the development of IT budgets and strategiesIt is expected that this position works from the BUMA office in South Bank 5 days per week.
Occasional travel to sites may be required.About You:Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline5+ years' experience in business systems management, preferably in mining or heavy industryExperience with SAP, including S/4HANA Public Cloud, SuccessFactors, SuccessFactors ECP, Concur and S/4 modules such as Asset Management, Supply Chain, Finance and HRExcellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively, as well as engage with and influence the BUMA executive leadership teamExperience in overseeing application security, cyber security threats and mitigations, including disaster recoveryRecognised IT professional certifications are desirable, eg ITIL, PRINCE2, Agile, SAPCommitment to safety, quality and teamwork, with a demonstrated ability to encourage team safety and identify and report hazardsWorking at BUMA:BUMA's people are the key to our success.
