The Portfolio Underwriting Analyst supports Property, Energy and Marine General Insurance markets in Australia and New Zealand by supporting portfolios and helping execute underwriting strategies to drive profitable growth.
Core duties include aligning Property and Marine teams for unified operations, developing policy wording approaches, managing and working with risk engineering insights, providing analysis for market-facing leadership, and leading portfolio improvement initiatives.
The analyst also monitors tactical plans, adapts global strategies to local markets, and works closely with Commercial Insurance Underwriting and other teams to meet business objectives.
Additional responsibilities include tracking management metrics, ensuring accurate data across pricing and exposure management, collaborating with leadership for correct tiering, escalating exposures, and recommending portfolio adjustments.
The role also involves identifying training needs and supports compliance and regulatory reporting.
This position is well-suited for early-career underwriting professionals who wish to gain advanced portfolio management experience and further their careers in underwriting.
