**Accountabilities include**:
- Demonstrate and maintain your knowledge of Queensland Government policies, procedures and processes, including the Queensland Cabinet Handbook and the Queensland Executive Council Handbook, to ensure all documentation is prepare in accordance with whole-of-government guidelines and departmental standards.
- Review and evaluate submissions, executive council minutes, briefing notes and correspondence to ensure quality, relevance and appropriateness.
- Provide a high-quality service to customers and stakeholders with a focus on providing accurate and timely advice and assistance about Cabinet and Executive Council processes and requirements.
- Effectively liaise with officers across TMR and other departments on a wide range of transport policy issues and maintain positive working relationships with these key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes for the Minister, Director-General, and other senior executives.
- Coordinate and prepare the Cabinet bag on a weekly basis for the Minister and Director-General and ensure key issues and impacts for TMR are clearly articulated in associated briefing material.
- Coordinate the department's review and response to confidential discussion papers, and other consultation requests circulated through the CLLO network, within required timeframes.
- Coordinate and manage six-monthly reporting on the implementation of the TMR's Cabinet and Cabinet Committee Decisions and Government Election Commitments.
- Ensure the timely and accurate coordination of proactive release of Cabinet business.
- Effectively manage workflow systems and processes to ensure deadlines are clearly identified and met in a complex and specialised environment.
- Provide efficient and effective administrative support services by adopting modern business practices using a variety of software and document management systems.
- Ensure the secure storage, handling and dissemination of Cabinet and Executive Council documents within TMR is undertaken in accordance with departmental and whole-of-government guidelines.
- Assist with the development, design, implementation, management and evaluation of business processes for all activities within the CLLO, ensuring the principles of best practice and continuous business improvement are applied.
- Actively participate in personal performance planning and appraisal through accepting and providing positive and constructive feedback.
- Undertake training and development opportunities that are identified as necessary to achieve team goals and gain awareness of corporate responsibilities by participating in branch meetings and other relevant training programs.
- Undertake the role in accordance with the requirements of s26(1) of the Public Service Act 2008 and at all times ensure that the principles as found in the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service are upheld in the carrying out of all duties.
This role reports to the Manager (Cabinet and Parliamentary Services).
TMR is currently considering the implementation of a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy whereby it would be a condition of employment for TMR employees to be and remain fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status may be required as part of the interview process and/or prior to employment.
