As a Tender Unit Leader within Egis' Clients and Market's team, your impact will be in the overall bid management function whereby you will provide leadership, strategy, integration and management of tender processes and functions. As the Tender Unit Lead, you will ensure all tenders are both technically and commercially compliant with client's specifications and company's standards. A key part of this role will be working with internal stakeholders to deliver strategic based on clear insight of the client needs.
**What you'll do**
- Lead the bid preparation process, from prequalification through to bid submission in accordance with the Egis' best practice bid management.
- Run bid strategy workshops to develop clear win strategy and supporting action plan.
- Manage the TU team and daily activities, ensuring the team are effectively utilised.
- Work with senior stakeholders to agree the level of support and prioritisation of bids.
- Manage strategy for the development and maintenance of the tender toolkit.
- Prepare reports and presentations related to innovations, lessons learned and post tender reviews.
- Ensure the timely identification, coordination, dissemination and tracking of tender notifications to relevant stakeholders.
- Review all tenders before submission to ensure compliance with all internal standards.
- Ensure compliance of business process and engagement of the right support committees.
- Build strong relationships with Global Tender Unit leads and technical experts.
- Work with the Clients and Markets Director and Marketing team to ensure effective prepositioning for opportunities.
- Support the maintenance of the sales pipeline through CRM.
**Qualifications**
Ideally, you will have significant experience in a similar role within a professional services, consulting or engineering environment. You will be a confident leader with the ability to interpret and consolidate information into a cohesive plan of action for your stakeholders and to successfully lead a small team.
You will also have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business or Engineering preferred)
- In depth, demonstrated knowledge of business-to-business sales and bid management
- Proven experience leading major project tenders
- Demonstrated knowledge of Government procurement requirements
- Proficient with computer systems, such as MS Office
- Ability to build, manage and mentor a successful team of tender and bid professionals
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills with focus on fostering business growth and nurturing strong client relationships internally and externally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to the capacity to interpret and consolidate information into a cohesive plan of action.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Sound problem solving skills, ability to work with senior business leaders to provide advice and support
