Intellisense.io has a rare opportunity for an Office Administrator/ Bookkeeper to join our growing team. As an Office Administrator/ Bookkeeper you will take full ownership of the business admin in our Australian offices.

You will be able to work remotely with truly flexible hours and working conditions.

This role is on a casual worker contract and the number of hours per week may vary from 5 to 15. The role may grow to a permanent and full-time position as the company expands in the region. This is a varied role and you will be required to operate on your own initiative to maintain the necessary local processes and connections with the Head Office in the UK. You will support the Australian Office and ensure that business operations run smoothly.

**About the team**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Liaise with our existing accounting function to secure an efficient month-end close.
- Accounts receivable (prepare invoices using input from our sales and implementation teams, liaise with Customer Finance Teams and ensure we follow their Purchase Order process, and chase debts)
- Accounts payable (manage purchase orders and invoice processing using our automated system, ensure expenses are controlled and paid, prepare payment run for authorization and ensure payroll payments are made promptly)
- Liaise with our External Accountants in Perth on tax reporting (GST, Company and State taxes, Payroll taxes)
- Manage Superannuation enrolment and quarterly payments
- Manage Insurance requirements
- Order laptops for new staff
- Support onboarding of staff
- Working closely with Office Administration in the UK, manage office space and landlord requirements in Australia
- Book meeting rooms for external guests
- Travel arrangements for business meetings for the local team
- Be the first point of contact for Australian colleagues for local help and support
- Other ad hoc requests in relation to Bookkeeping and Office Administration

**What we are looking for**

**Minimum**
- Proven work experience as a bookkeeper or similar role, ideally within Mining
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Suite
- In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
- Working knowledge of Australian company regulations
- Excellent math skills with an attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Good local contacts for local suppliers of business services (e.g. marketing, recruitment services, professional advisors)

**Preferred**
- Experience in using automated accounting software (Xero)
- Knowledge or experience of working in a fast-paced technology or start-up environment.
