**Your New Role**

You contribute to telling the Development Victoria story. Working within our dynamic Corporate Affairs & Engagement Team, the Communications & Engagement Advisor provides support in creating and delivering Development Victoria's communications strategies for the successful delivery of communications for projects being delivered by Development Victoria.

**Core Accountabilities**
- Assist in developing and implementing communications plans and issues management strategies that mitigate or minimise negative impacts.
- Support the development and implementation of community engagement strategies to positively position Development Victoria.
- Provide high quality content across print and online channels including via social media to positively engage intended audiences and achieve measurable improvement of Development Victoria's presence and profile.
- Manage allocated internal client relationships to maintain clear and open lines of communication and ensure relevant sign off/approvals are obtained for communications materials.
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including communications staff from key partners and consultants, to positively position Development Victoria and assist in achieving positive project outcomes.

**Skills and Education**
- Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or a relevant discipline
- Previous experience working within Corporate Affairs, Communications or relevant experience
- Broad understanding of communications and/or public relations
- Experience in community and stakeholder engagement (desirable)
- Broad understanding of and interest in government projects and policies (desirable)
