**About the Opportunity**

The Travel Academy is Flight Centre's externally facing education business that offers a university level Diploma in Travel and Tourism.

The Content, Academic, and Instructional Design Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of educational content and instructional delivery of a tertiary level qualification.

**What you will be doing**:

- Ensure and oversee the compliance and adherence of course content to tertiary practices and governance through effective coordination and management
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing course materials to maintain relevance, accuracy, and alignment with learning outcomes
- Work closely with Facilitator Team to ensure learning outcomes and assessment strategies and processes are met
- Monitor and assess student feedback, performance data, and learning analytics to make data-driven improvements to course design and delivery
- Design and develop a content and academic review plan and calendar for the next 12 months
- Train internal stakeholders of appropriate procedures and policies
- Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design and educational technology to continually improve course quality
- Stay current with Travel and Tourism industry trends
- Facilitation: online facilitation including tutorials, Q&A, workshops and O-Week sessions)
- Student Involvement: maintain communication with students via coaching calls and end of semester calls

**What you will need**:

- Minimum 5 years broad Travel and Tourism industry experience is essential
- Facilitation / online facilitation experience
- Minimum 2 years Instructional Design experience is essential
- High-level understanding of instructional design principles, pedagogical theories, and adult learning methodologies to create effective and engaging learning experiences
- Graduate Certificate of Teaching and Learning / relevant qualification (desirable)

**Hours**: Standard business hours Monday to Friday

**Salary**: $95 k p.a. plus superannuation/bonuses
